Join Lyra Vega as she reads three banned picture books at the Bridge St Bakery. Suitable for children of all ages, come celebrate the right to read, dress up and imagine.

Plus a bonus reading of Broadway Baby by local author Russell Miller.

Lyra Vega

Lyra Vega is Mark Oleszko, a New York-based music director, pianist, composer, and arranger. He is also a current full-time high school music educator with the New York City Department of Education at Repertory Company High School for Theatre Arts. His performance experiences have spanned various stages, ranging from The Apollo Theatre to the United Nations, Highline Ballroom, Lincoln Center, and upcoming performances at Birdland Jazz Club and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Mark’s original musical #LoveStory played the NYC Fringe Festival in 2015, winning an audience favorite award. He sends much love always to his family, friends, and students!
