Lines From Your Life (One Person at a Time, One Drawing at a Time)

For three continuous days, Thomas Bosket will inhabit a temporary “drawing cave”—a raw shelter built from cardboard, scrap wood, and duct tape—where he will receive one visitor at a time. Each encounter is a moment of deep listening. He will not speak. He will draw. This is not about likeness or representation. It is about perception, change, and the subtle shift that occurs when someone is truly seen. Emerging in the context of the Deep Water Literary Festival, this work leans into the theme of metamorphosis—not as spectacle, but as a quiet unfolding. Each drawing a trace of transformation. Each encounter, a shared moment in flux.

Thomas Bosket was awarded his MFA from Yale University in 1995 and is regarded by the New York Times as one of the world’s leading color theory experts. He has pursued drawing, as a human behavior rather than a product, and explored how it plays a dominant role in supporting creative learning environments such as his recent venture ENGN – connecting civics, art and life.
