A ‘Book in a Box’ Workshop for Families

Part of Ratty Books Children’s Programming

Let’s make a book - exploring visual storytelling and sequencing - and tell a story by drawing a story. It’s crazy creative, to make a book where your reader can’t wait to find out what’s on the next page.

We’ll use (and decorate) matchboxes to give your houses a home. Mini-Books in Mini-Boxes…Fabulous Family Fun with beloved children's book author and illustrator Lindsay Barrett George.

Books, boxes, markers, sequins, pompoms, tissue papers, all things that glitter and glue sticks will be provided.

Lindsay received the Drexel Award in 2007. Lindsay began her career in the children’s book field as a book designer in New York City. She’s combined a fine arts background with her graphic design experience to produce books that, hopefully, make the animals that she cares about come alive for children. Lindsay enjoys speaking and sharing with book-lovers of all ages and has a particular passion for leading family story-drawing workshops.

Lindsay lives with a sweet mini-Dachshund and one very handsome turtle in northeast PA.
